So far no luck with the house search. I’m going to head out this weekend to some open houses in Ottawa and hopefully I will find a good one! There are some open houses in Kanata that I may check out as well. If I do find a good house I’ll check with my agent and get the scoop before putting in an offer!

At least she looks happy…not like the darn dog. We might have to go to the vet’s soon as the darn dog is pooping blood again. Hopefully she’ll be feeling better soon! I found this website though that says it’s not always a serious problem:

I have started looking at some houses! What I found out is that there are a lot of really nice houses for sale in Kanata. My realtor took me to see 4 of them today. Unfortunately none of them were quite up to my standards so far.
I was looking for bungalows in Kanata with a yard, but all of these houses had tiny, tiny little yards.
It’s exciting to start the process though. I’ll let you know when I see something worth getting serious about!

I’m thinking I’m going to buy a house soon. Yeah, those of you who know me probably think that I’m crazy. Why would I want to get into the Kanata real estate market, really?
Well, I think the market is good right now. House prices are low, and once the spring hits they’re just going to get higher.
In our area there isn’t that much listed right now. So, I’m off to meet with my realtor to discuss what I can afford and what areas I should be looking into.
I’ll keep you updated on my house hunting progress as I go along!
